I started looking at this as almost a joke, but the deeper I explored, the more it resonated.
This is a photo book that follows a group of nuns- focused on one young nun in particular- and their everyday lives in the convent. What I love is that it shows these women, who are used to seeing in a very particular way, going through mundane, everyday tasks. We see cleaning, playing, boredom, etc.
This is what I find so wonderful about the script- it’s showing a place we’ve only ever thought of as a fantasy realm, but focuses on the normalcy of it.
I tried to get some images from the web and gathered some photos from the book itself. Unfortunately, I could only get a handful of reasonable images. I will talk to you about this series in our interview.
